I have one requirement in which i need to read Active-X Controls data which are in Excel using c#. Is that Possible using OpenXML or Not..If possible how to do that???

It is possible using Excel Automation but it's very complicated. Have you thought of using some 3rd party component? GemBox has nice .NET component for spreadsheets which is free for commercial use if you need less then 150 rows.

I also need to read/write ActiveX controls in Excel 2007.  If possible, I would like to avoid Excel Automation.  So OpenXml is a better choice.

Does anyone know how to do it?
