For one of our (international) clients we are currently looking for a highly motivated C# developer with excellent MS Word (OpenXML) experience for a long term project in Utrecht, The Netherlands.

In this project, you will be involved in all aspects of software development.
Responsibilities can include:
o Working with business experts to help define requirements
o Estimate and help plan iterations
o Using TDD to implement the solution
o Support testers
o 3rd line support
o Creating supporting documentation

Experience with TDD and mocking frameworks is desirable, but not a must-have.

Greetings,

Yesterday and today I have been taking an Office Open XML workshop in México dealing with the creation of Open XML Documents, specifically in Word and Excel formats...

Very interesting indeed. I have started to slowly migrate my apps to Visual Studio 2005, though my most important products are still in VB6.0.

I would like to know if anyone has experimented with creating .docx packages and writing to xml files in VB6.0. I am having quite a bit of trouble so far, I have the MSXML libraries, I also have framework 3.0 with the Windowsbase.dll, I am not sure if I should be attempting to try this with those DLL's or should I write the XML files from scratch using the old Print #1, String... commands.

Is my idea overall plausible or am I just delaying the inevitable move? I'd like to know your opinions... I know I have to migrate everything to .NET already, and I'm way behind schedule, though for now I'd like to have this working in VB6.

One of my customer needs to extract by program all the embedded files in his Office documents knowing that each embedded files from the Office suite can also contain embedded files and so on.

Could you help finding the best solution to develop such a tool or application, it is very urgent.

My version is Windows Office 2000.

A message box often pops out when writing a document:

Microsoft Word can't use the AutoCorrect lists.
This feathure is not currently installed.
Would you like to install it now?

I click "No", but it comes out again later on.

I don't want to click "Yes" coz I have no installation disc at hand.

What can I do then?

Any suggestion will be highly appreciated!

PHP API

Hello everybody,

I am just back form the Microsoft Technology Summit and when discussing with Jean Paoli we talk about PHP API which allow to generate and manipulate OpenOffice Document.
I guess, as PHP is growing faster and faster in company, it could be very interesting to create such API for OpenXML.
Before starting to work on it I was wondering if some of you have already seen such a thing ? It could be a PHP native extension (in C) or a PHP library (in PHP). So if there is C programs allowing to do that it could be interesting for me to know it.

Any way I will first look at the specs first

HTML content as a document part

Is ther limitations as to what can be added as HTML file into a document?

I tried to user the below HTML content to be added as a document part. It worked but failed to show the image Does this mean a image cannot be referenced from a web site in a document referenced HTML?
