This 128-page book covers the basics of Open XML, including many of the topics covered in the Open XML developer workshops, as well as several additional topics. The author, Wouter Van Vugt, is a software development trainer/consultant who specializes in the Open XML file formats. You may know from his participation in the forums here on OpenXMLDeveloper.org, or from his blog where he covers Open XML and other .NET development topics.

Hi Wouter. The link for sample documents to the book ("download _here_") is not valid. I've not read very far, but I'm surprised this book isn't listed in the downloadable resources on the main page. I've been looking for something like this for a few days and only stumbled across it in a very indirect manner. Thank you for writing it and all the work you've put into it!
typo in document: page 91, paragraph 2, line 4 "master" misspelled as "mater".
