The guys at Sonata have submitted another instructive Java code sample. This one shows how to do some basic document management chores such as adding or removing parts from the Open XML Format package. It's packaged as a simple utility. Click here for the article and source code.

  • Why do you create 2 entries for one article?
  • Good question.  I wanted the new article to appear in the summary on the home page, and that only feeds from the News section.  So I added a brief News item pointing to the library article.

    Then I saw how that looks in the RSS feed, and I agree it's clumsy to get what appears to be the same article twice.  so we're going to use a different approach -- a summary band on the home page where links to new content can appear.  That should be live in the next few days.
